PKA: PKA shortlisted in Holy Cross Competition

PKA were shortlisted to the last five in the Holy Cross Church Competition.
The church sought ideas to improve the existing parish church building, which has lost some importance in the context of enormous physical change to the built environment around it in the last number of years.
PK's design connects the altar to the street, the ‘passerby’ to the sanctuary. The proposal opened up the space at the entrance to make a meeting place. This enhanced the proportion of the sacred space and brought a new sense of gathering and openness to the church.
