PKA: Programme

PKA has an excellent record of delivering projects on time and within demanding programme deadlines.

We approach each commission with an emphasis on ensuring that every skill and care is exercised by the design team to deliver the project within the timeframe established by the client.

With twenty five years of practice – and our successful record of working with many of Ireland’s leading sub-consultants - PKA has the experience and skills to co-ordinate the work of other design team members, and assist them with the contents and timing of their inputs into the overall project programme.

At the time of appointment, we review the client’s overall programme objectives to establish that these are realistic and achievable. We confirm that the practice and other project team members have the resources available to meet the client’s delivery targets for each stage.

Before design work commences, an outline pre-contract programme is is prepared in consultation with other members of the design team - so as to obtain input of all concerned to the overall timeframe and key timeline deadlines.

The programme sets out the scope of work to be carried out by each member of the team, identifies and targets for completion of each design stage of the project from inception to commencement of operations on site.

The programme is reviewed regularly at design team meetings, and on completion of each work stage; it is updated as necessary to record progress, identify delays, assess their implications for the next stage, and set new target dates for approval by the client and other project team members.
