PKA: Profile
Since the formation of the practice in 1984, Paul Keogh Architects has acquired a reputation for design excellence and the highest standards of professional practice, and established itself as one of the leading firms of architects in Ireland today.
PKA’s work spans the breadth of design disciplines - architecture, conservation, interiors and urban design - and includes commissions at every scale, from small one-off projects to major public works.
The practice’s extensive portfolio of completed buildings, projects and awards includes housing, education, civic, culture, retail, commercial, domestic and urban design.
Our commitment to design quality and exemplary professional practice is reflected in the firm’s prestigious client base, comprising government and local authorities, leading companies, voluntary bodies and private individuals.
PKA has been included in the RIAI Directory of Practices since the early 1990s, and the firm’s qualified architects are now listed on the Register of Architects set up under the 2007 Building Control Act.
PKA’s continual pursuit of excellence is reflected in the many awards and commendations obtained by the practice: we have featured regularly in all the major Irish award schemes, including the AAI Awards, RIAI Awards, Plan Opus Awards, Glen Dimplex Awards and the RIAI Silver Medal for Housing.
PKA was awarded the Union of International Architects’ Abercrombie Medal - one of international architecture’s most prestigious prizes - for our work with Group 91 on the masterplan and regeneration of Temple Bar.
We are confident therefore that PKA’s expertise, skills and resources - design quality, experience and technical capacity – bring a unique component to every commission awarded to the practice.
